The City of Stratford’s Halloween Drive-Through event, scheduled to be hosted at the Rotary Complex parking lot on October 31st from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., will include another mode of transportation for those who would like to enjoy the trick-or-treat experience on a City bus.
Previously, the City offered registration for individual vehicles to attend the event. At this time, the vehicle registration is sold out.
Those interested in taking the bus are required to pre-register to obtain a free ride, departing from the Stratford Transit terminal #8 spot to the Rotary Complex starting at 4:45 p.m. Only those who have pre-registered will be permitted to board the bus and attend the event.
Treat bags will be offered to passengers at the end of the drive-through in a safe and physically distanced manner. It is expected that the bus drive-through experience will last approximately 10-15 minutes with 6-8 booth displays being offered.
To ensure health and safety measures are met, the City will provide all candy to be distributed at the event, and those riding the bus are expected to wear face coverings at all times when inside the bus.
Passengers will be required to enter the bus at the front doors and exit at the rear doors. The exception is for passengers who require the accessibility ramp. When boarding the bus, pre-registered passengers will be required to show proof of registration, and physical distancing must be maintained while communicating with the driver and other passengers.
