Over the past few weeks, nearly 20 new benches have been installed at transit stops in Stratford through a partnership between the City of Stratford and Creative Outdoor.

The rugged, all-weather benches are suitable for the various types of weather in Stratford, and also meet provincial accessibility guidelines.

Up to 10 more benches will be added next year.

Creative Outdoor is supplying and installing the benches at no cost to the municipality, and will provide advertising space on them. The City will receive a share of the advertising revenue from the benches.

New benches have been installed at:

  • Downie Street transit terminal (2)
  • Downie Street near Foodland
  • Ontario Street at Front Street
  • Ontario Street at Parkview Drive
  • Ontario Street at Pleasant Drive
  • Ontario Street at C.H. Meier Boulevard
  • Ontario Street at Romeo Street
  • Ontario Street at Nile Street
  • C.H. Meier Boulevard near mall entrance
  • C.H. Meier Boulevard near River Dental
  • Erie Street at Cambria Street
  • Erie Street at West Gore Street
