Freedom of Information Requests
Freedom of Information requests must be made in writing. FOI requests can be completed at the Stratford Police Service .

When mailing your request, please be sure to include a business cheque or money order payable to the Stratford Police Service. It is also important to include your address and a telephone number where you may be reached should your request need to be clarified.
If your request is a Personal request, it may be subject to 20 cents per page photocopying charges above the $5.00 application fee. Please note that other fees may apply for additional services (ie DVD’s).
If your request is for a General request, it may be subject to $30.00 per hour search time and $30.00 per hour preparation time and 20 cents per page photocopying charges above the application fee. Please note a $56.50 per Officer’s Notes and Witness Statement will also apply to General requests. As with personal requests, other fees may apply for additional services.
Please note some requests for information contain the personal information of others and therefore can only be released with the consent of that individual.
Under the Municipal Freedom of Information & Protection of Privacy Act, the Freedom of Information Unit has 30 days to respond to your request.
Sending information to us over the Internet is neither secure nor verifiable. As your request contains personal and sensitive information, we ask that you use one of the methods listed above when making your inquires.
