City of Stratford Set to Celebrate Canada Day
Please join us on Wednesday, July 1 for a full day of family-friendly entertainment and activities during Stratford’s Canada Day celebration.
The City of Stratford will host a community event in Market Square from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with music and food trucks.
Live performances include:
- 11 a.m. – Stratford District Secondary School Jazz Combo A
- Noon – O Canada Ceremony
- 12:30 p.m. – Jeffrey “Red” George
- 1 p.m. – Nora Joy
- 1:45 p.m. – Quique Escamilla
- 3 p.m. – Mutual Mind
A variety of activities will also be offered by community partners and organizations, including:
- Stratford Youth Soccer Zone, with activities, face painting, giveaways
- Sensory Space in the City Hall Auditorium – a calm, quiet space away from the main event, with activities
- Free family photo booth and balloon artist
- Stratford Public Library - interactive activities and books
- Gallery Stratford – activities
- Stratford Perth Museum - activities
- City of Stratford Lions Pool/Day Camp - giveaways
- Stratford Active Adults - information
- Stratford Police Service - information
- Multicultural Association of Perth-Huron - information and supports
- NextStrat - youth esports gaming activities
- Upper Thames River Conservation Authority - activities
- House of Blessing - collecting non-perishable food donations

FREE SWIMS
Free Canada Day public swims will take place at the Stratford Lions Pool from 2:30-4 p.m. and 7-8:30 p.m.
PARADE
The Canada Day parade, hosted by the Stratford and District Saddle Club and Bethel Pentecostal Church, kicks off at 6 p.m. from the corner of Lakeside Drive and Waterloo Street. It will travel along Waterloo Street to Mornington Street, then west on McCarthy Road to finish at the Rotary Complex.
FIREWORKS
The Kinsmen Club of Stratford will once again host evening entertainment at SERC (near Matilda Street and Oakdale Avenue), including food vendors, a concert and fireworks. Food vendors begin at 7 p.m., the concert starts at 8 p.m. and fireworks will begin at dusk.
