Huron Street Reconstruction Phase 2 Begins June 8, 2026

The second phase of the Huron Street reconstruction project is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 8, and will require some traffic shifting and temporary lane closures.

The project involves the reconstruction of Huron Street between Huntingdon Avenue and the Roadhouse Drain (just east of Matilda Street), and will include not only rebuilding the roadway, but also new watermains, storm and sanitary sewers and intersection improvements.

Traffic will be shifted to allow for the work to take place. The shared left turn lane will not be available, but two lanes of traffic (one in either direction) will be maintained through the construction zone. Driveway access to homes and commercial properties will also be maintained.

The first stage of this project is expected to continue until late fall. The second stage, from Huntington Avenue to John Street, will be completed next year.
