Waterloo Street Temporary Road Closure Aug. 19, 2026
The first of several asphalt resurfacing projects in Stratford begins this week.
Waterloo Street from Douro Street to Albert Street will be closed to through traffic starting Wednesday, Aug. 19 for approximately three weeks.
Local access will remain for businesses and residents, but some detours will be necessary, and motorists travelling downtown should expect some delays as a result of the construction.
Please note that local traffic access will be maintained for vehicles travelling:

eastbound onto Rebecca Street (one way) from Waterloo Street

westbound onto Waterloo Street from Grange Street (one way)
