2025 Approved Budget
On Monday, February 10, 2025, City Council approved Stratford’s 2025 budget, which reflects a total tax levy of just over $86 million. That is an increase of nearly $6 million compared to 2024.
For an average home assessed at $350,000, the 2025 budget represents an estimated increase to residential property taxes of 5.46%.

2025 Draft Budget
The 2025 draft budget package is available, as well as an addendum of additional budget material and the Engage Stratford 2025 budget page.
The following are some key dates of the 2025 budget process:
- October 28/2024 - 2025 Draft Budget package and survey released
- November 18/2024 - 2025 Budget Open House 4pm to 7pm in City Hall Auditorium
- November 19/2024 - 2025 Budget Survey closed
- November 23/2024 - Pop-Up event at Farmer's Market
- November 25/2024 - Pop-Up event at The Local Community Food Centre
- November 28/2024 - first meeting for budget deliberations by the Finance and Labour Relations Committee
- December 03/2024 - second meeting for budget deliberations
- December 09/2024 - third meeting for budget deliberations
- January 9/2025 - fourth meeting for budget deliberations
- January 16/2025 - fifth meeting for budget deliberations

2025 Community Grants
The 2025 Community Grants Program is now closed and applicants have been advised of final grant decisions approved by Council.
