Information Technology Services
Information Technology Services is a Division of the Corporate Services Department responsible for supporting, securing, and modernizing the City’s technology environment and digital services.
The division works collaboratively with all City departments to deliver secure, reliable, and efficient technology solutions that support municipal operations, customer service, digital transformation, and strategic priorities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Development and implementation of the City’s Information Technology Strategy and digital modernization initiatives
- Cybersecurity governance, network security, risk management, and business continuity planning
- Management and support of the City’s corporate systems, infrastructure, cloud services, and enterprise applications
- Delivery of IT support services, technical support, and end-user assistance across the organization
- Management and support of the City’s website, online services, digital forms, and citizen-facing technology platforms
- Support for Geographic Information Systems (GIS), mapping technologies, and digital data services
- Planning, coordination, and delivery of corporate technology projects and initiatives
- Procurement and management of technology-related hardware, software, licensing, and consulting services
- Development and maintenance of IT-related policies, standards, procedures, and governance frameworks
- Support for disaster recovery, business continuity, and operational resilience initiatives
- Evaluation and implementation of emerging technologies, innovation opportunities, and digital service improvements
Information Technology Services works closely with City departments, external partners, and vendors to ensure technology solutions align with the City’s operational needs, strategic goals, cybersecurity best practices, and service delivery expectations.
