City of Stratford Appoints Tatiana Dafoe as City Clerk

The City of Stratford has appointed Tatiana Dafoe as its new City Clerk, effective immediately.

Stratford City Council approved the appointment at a special meeting on Tuesday, May 5, 2020.

Ms. Dafoe began her career with the City of Stratford in 2017 as Deputy Clerk, and was appointed as Acting City Clerk on August 1, 2019.

She holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree with a concentration in Political Science from the University of Guelph, and a Master’s Degree in Political Science from the University...

City of Stratford Social Services Department to Offer Emergency Child Care

On March 22, the Province of Ontario made provisions for certain child care centres to remain open to support health care and other frontline workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The City of Stratford has appointed Janice Beirness as Acting Director of Corporate Services/Treasurer.

City Council approved the appointment at a special meeting on Tuesday, April 21, 2020.

Ms. Beirness began her career with the City of Stratford in 2007 as Manager of Financial Services, and has held that position for nearly 13 years now.

The City of Stratford has appointed Joan Thomson as Chief Administrative Officer.

Stratford City Council approved the appointment at a special meeting on Tuesday, April 21, 2020.

Ms. Thomson has been with the City of Stratford for more than 30 years, and has served in a series of progressive roles before being named as City Clerk in 1999.
