The City of Stratford has recently been made aware of another possible scam attempt involving text messages about unpaid parking tickets. Similar scams have been circulating in communities across Canada.
Please note that the City of Stratford would never send a text message about an outstanding parking ticket, and parking tickets cannot be paid through texts.

The City of Stratford is taking a different approach to its annual swan release going forward.
At the direction of the Board of Park Management, the birds will now be returned to Lake Victoria from their winter quarters as soon as it’s appropriate.
The determination will be made each year based on factors like water levels, weather and mating patterns.
The goal is to reduce the stress on the swans as much as possible as they make their seasonal return to the open water.
