Shoppers and merchants are reminded that under the Retail Business Holidays Act, Family Day - Monday, February 16, 2026, is among the designated holidays annually when most retail stores must be closed.

A City of Stratford Public Works employee escaped injury late Friday night (January 23) after a snowplow went into the ditch on Line 29, just east of Erie Street, and flipped onto its side.
Poor visibility as a result of drifting snow was a factor in the incident.
Thankfully, the operator was unhurt.
The snowplow sustained some damage to the undercarriage and box.
