A special meeting of Stratford City Council will be held on Monday, Oct. 20, 2025 at 2 p.m. to consider a report on winter warming solutions, and next steps regarding the homelessness response for the upcoming winter.

On Thursday, October 23, the City of Stratford and community partners will be holding a staged emergency exercise on Romeo Street, near the River Gardens Retirement Residence.
This is only a training exercise, but please be aware that there will be a large presence of emergency personnel in the area, including firefighters, police and paramedics.

Fall flushing of fire hydrants will begin the week of October 6 in the City of Stratford, and will continue for about six weeks.
Hydrant flushing is something that the City does twice a year, typically in the spring and the fall, to remove iron that may have settled in the watermains, and as preventative maintenance on fire hydrants.
