The City of Stratford Social Services Department, in partnership with local community organizations, has committed to the ambitious goal of ending chronic homelessness in Stratford, St. Marys and Perth County by 2024. The first step in achieving this goal is to reduce the number of individuals experiencing chronic homelessness by 10% this year. We cannot do this alone. We require the support of the community to help our most vulnerable citizens find safe, suitable and affordable housing options.

The City of Stratford, the County of Perth and the Town of St. Marys would like to encourage all citizens to remain vigilant in the fight against COVID-19.
A recent rise in the number of active cases in our communities highlights the fact that the pandemic is not over, and we are in fact now experiencing a second wave.

The City of Stratford and Kinsmen Club of Stratford are offering an alternative to enjoy one of Southern Ontario’s best Santa Claus parades in a unique and fun way.
On November 29, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., citizens are welcome to attend a drive-through parade experience along Lakeside Drive, where vehicles will move through a parade route, and holiday floats will remain stationary on display. Physical and social distances will be maintained between floats and vehicles.

On October 29, 2020, Stratford City Council agreed to a three-year collective agreement with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 636, representing Stratford Parallel Transit employees.
