On May 16, 2022, Stratford City Council agreed to a two-year collective agreement with The Canadian Union of Public Employees Local 1385, representing Stratford inside employees.

Stratford – On January 3, 2022, the Province of Ontario announced the provision of emergency child care for eligible essential workers for their school-aged children.

The Salvation Army recently opened a Housing Resource Centre for residents in Stratford, Perth County, and St. Marys.
The Centre, funded by the City of Stratford Social Services Department, helps people to find and maintain permanent housing, and focuses on individuals and families who are experiencing housing instability, homelessness, or are at risk of homelessness.
