The City of Stratford’s Community Services Department and students of the Stratford District Secondary School Culinary Club, under the leadership of chefs Andrew Mavor and Paul Finkelstein, have launched the 2nd annual Holiday Feast program whereby a hot meal will be delivered to the doorstep of those in need this season.

On July 26, 2021, Stratford City Council agreed to a four-year collective agreement with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 636, representing Stratford Water Division employees.
The agreement is effective from May 1, 2021 to April 30, 2025, and has been ratified by members of IBEW Local 636 – Water Division.

The Salvation Army recently opened a Housing Resource Centre for residents in Stratford, Perth County, and St. Marys.
The Centre, funded by the City of Stratford Social Services Department, helps people to find and maintain permanent housing, and focuses on individuals and families who are experiencing housing instability, homelessness, or are at risk of homelessness.
The Centre has locations in both Stratford and Listowel, but due to pandemic lockdown orders, services are currently being provided...

The City of Stratford Social Services Department, in partnership with local community organizations, has committed to the ambitious goal of ending chronic homelessness in Stratford, St. Marys and Perth County by 2024. The first step in achieving this goal is to reduce the number of individuals experiencing chronic homelessness by 10% this year. We cannot do this alone. We require the support of the community to help our most vulnerable citizens find safe, suitable and affordable housing options.
