The City of Stratford would like to remind residents not to leave sports equipment in the road allowance when not in use.
Things like portable basketball nets or hockey nets left unattended on or near the road (within one metre of the curb) can become a safety hazard for motorists or pedestrians, and may interfere with City street sweeping and waste collection vehicles.

The Heritage Stratford Advisory Committee is looking for a few good stories.
As part of its Blue Plaque program, the committee is once again looking to recognize specific Stratford properties with ties to a significant historical figure or event.
For this year’s call for nominations, Heritage Stratford is launching Tell Us Your Story, which encourages people to share the story of a significant person or event, and its connection to a place in the city.

The City of Stratford is planning to offer 9 weeks of summer day camps, starting July 5 and operating through to September 3.
These camps will be hosted out of two locations – the Stratford Rotary Complex for ages 4-6, and the Burnside Agriplex for ages 7-13.
Each weekly camp will welcome a maximum of 15 campers.

In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Stratford is looking to reschedule the Treasure Hunt planned for the weekend of May 28-30.
At this time, we are still planning to proceed with the May 29 Household Hazardous Waste collection at the Rotary Complex parking lot, as we consider this to be is an essential service for our residents.
We will provide more information about the hazardous waste collection in the coming weeks.
