The City of Stratford has appointed Karmen Krueger as its new Director of Corporate Services, effective March 1, 2022.
Ms. Krueger has served as Acting Director of Corporate Services in Stratford since September 2021, and has previous experience as a Deputy Treasurer, Treasurer and Director of Corporate Services in other municipalities.
She has a degree in Economics, obtained her Certified Financial Planning (CFP) designation in 2000, and obtained her Chartered Accountant (CPA, CA) designation in...

While we recognize the need for outdoor exercise, particularly during the pandemic, we urge residents to please stay off the Avon River/Lake Victoria, as well as the City’s stormwater ponds.
These bodies of water are not monitored for the purpose of winter recreation activities like skating, and may be dangerous.

Ontario Minister of Transportation Caroline Mulroney announced on Wednesday, September 15 that GO train service will be expanded in southwestern Ontario.
Beginning October 18, 2021, Metrolinx will provide weekday GO train trips between London and Union Station in Toronto. The pilot project will include one trip leaving from London in the early morning, and one return trip in the evening.
The new service will extend beyond GO Transit’s Kitchener line and also include stops in St. Marys and Stratford.

The City of Stratford has added new classes to the Lions Pool swim lesson schedule, for children 6 years of age and older, starting August 2. Red Cross Swim Kids 2-10 will be offered, as well as Lifesaving Society Bronze Star, Medallion and Cross.
Swim lessons will be offered in a session, defined as two consecutive weeks, running Monday through Friday.
