STRATFORD - The City of Stratford has received additional funding from the Province of Ontario toward the enhanced cleaning of Stratford Transit buses.
The provincial government is providing $15 million to municipalities across the province to support enhanced cleaning of their public transit systems and to help reduce the transmission of COVID-19.
The City of Stratford is eligible to receive an allocation of up to $19,267 to assist with the costs associated with enhanced cleaning.

Effective July 5, 2020, Stratford Transit will move to an on-demand service on Sundays, which will replace the existing fixed-schedule Sunday service. On-demand will allow transit to meet the current needs of customers while routing vehicles only to requested stops. Customers will be able to schedule a ride based on their own timeframes and desired stops.

With temperatures expected to climb above 30C again this week, the City of Stratford has re-opened the cooling centre in the lobby of the Community Hall at the Rotary Complex, 353 McCarthy Road West.
The air-conditioned facility will be open until 9 p.m. today (Tuesday, June 9) and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
There are washrooms on site, and water is available.

The City of Stratford has roadway and drainage improvements scheduled on O’Loane Avenue between Galt Road and Perth Line 36 this summer.
These improvements are scheduled to begin on or about August 3, 2020, with an estimated completion date on or about December 7, 2020. The specific improvements scheduled for this street are:
