No. The Stratford Fire Department does not install or inspect car seats. For more information on car seat installation, you can visit the Transport Canada website at Transport Canada Car Seat Installation.

The Stratford Fire Department does not accept expired fire extinguishers. Expired extinguishers can be taken to the landfill on hazardous waste days. You can find a list of upcoming hazardous waste days on the Stratford Landfill website

Some fire extinguisher servicing companies may also accept expired extinguishers.  

While the fire department is committed to fire safety education, we do not provide fire extinguisher servicing or inspections. Residents and businesses should contact a certified private fire protection company for these services. 

To dispose of unused or expired fireworks or marine flares, please contact the retailer for proper disposal methods. 

The City of Stratford allows recreational backyard fires without a permit as long as it adheres to the Open Air Burning Bylaw
