Non-Emergency Reporting

If you’re not in an emergency situation and no person or property is in immediate danger, please call our 24-hour non-emergency phone number 519-271-4141.

Filing a false police report is a criminal offense.

You must call us if:

• you have a known suspect
• you are in possession of any evidence
• the value of the theft, loss or property damage is more than $5,000
• someone broke into your home or business
• this is a motor vehicle collision
• this is an in progress traffic complaint
• this is a theft or loss of a firearm
• this is a theft or loss of Federal Government issued personal identification documents
• this is related to any form of personal violence including domestic violence
• this is related to any kind of vandalism or graffiti that could be described as hate motivated

The following incidents qualify for Online Reports:

• Damage or mischief to a vehicle (other than by a collision and under $5,000)
• Damage or mischief to property (under $5,000)
• Lost or stolen drivers licences
• Lost property (under $5,000)
• Lost or Stolen licence plates
• Theft (under $5,000)
• Theft from vehicle (under $5,000)
• Identity theft or fraud
• Credit card fraud
• Internet fraud
• Personal fraud
• Traffic complaints – Not in progress
• Erratic/Dangerous Driving complaint
• Constant neighborhood traffic-related issues (speeding)
• School Bus violations

To file an online report, you’ll need:

• Your email address and contact information
• The incident address
• A drivers licence, ownership, and insurance information (if applicable)

Once you’ve submitted your report, you will receive a temporary reference number. We will try to have your submission reviewed by an officer within 72 hours.

When we’ve assigned an officer to review your report, we’ll send you an official occurrence number. Please turn off any pop-up blocking software before filing the report.

Incorporated in 1988, Huron Perth County Crime Stoppers is a non-profit charitable program which combines the best efforts of the media, the community and the police in the fight against crime. The goal is to promote awareness within the community and continue to educate our students and the public in making our community safer.

Although our area of operation is Perth County, you can anonymously submit tips about any crime that occurred anywhere.
