Public Education

The Stratford Fire Department is committed to helping our community stay safe through fire and life safety education. We welcome opportunities to connect with residents of all ages by offering station tours, school visits, fire truck demonstrations, and community presentations. 

Residents can request educational sessions including special events and classroom, fire station, and fire truck visits by submitting the Fire Safety Education Online form.

Fire Extinguisher Training

The Stratford Fire Department offers on-site fire extinguisher training for schools, community groups, and small workplaces such as offices, retails stores, and community facilities. This session is designed to build awareness, confidence, and the ability to respond safely in a fire emergency. 

You will learn basic fire safety and prevention, types of fire extinguishers and how to use them, and what to do in a fire emergency. 

Participants will have the opportunity to practice using a digital fire extinguisher system in a safe, controlled environment during an interactive, easy to follow session. The system allows for fire extinguisher training in an indoor setting, without the mess. 

This training is for educational purposes only and does not provide certification.

Pricing:

$150 + HST per session for up to 12 participants

$10 + HST per additional participant up to 20 participants per session
