André Morin has been appointed as Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for The Corporation of the City of Stratford, effective September 2, 2025. A seasoned professional with an accounting designation through the Certified General Accountants of Ontario (CGA), Mr. Morin brings over two decades of senior municipal experience to his new role.
As a Stratford resident, Mr. Morin is returning to familiar grounds, having served as Stratford’s Director of Corporate Services/Treasurer from 2012 to 2017, including a period as interim CAO in 2016. His extensive municipal experience is further highlighted by his recent role as Director of Corporate Services/Treasurer for the Town of St. Marys and his tenure as Chief Administrative Officer for the Town of Atikokan from 2008 to 2012.
Passionate about sharing his expertise and giving back to the municipal community, Mr. Morin is actively involved in volunteering with several working groups and frequently speaks on various municipal topics. He currently contributes as a Board Member with the Municipal Finance Officers of Ontario (MFOA) and serves on the Customer Council Committee for the Ontario Education Collaborative Marketplace (OECM).
Having moved to Stratford with his wife and two daughters in 2012, Mr. Morin values community engagement and quality family time. Outside of his professional commitments, he enjoys road trips and travel, continuously fostering a love for adventure and family bonding.
André is supported in the Office of the CAO by two administrative assistants, a Corporate Initiatives Lead and a Corporate Communications Specialist.
